TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF THE UCOUNT REWARDS LENDING/TIER MIGRATION PROMOTIONAL OFFER MADE BY THE STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED (“STANDARD BANK/WE/US/OUR”)

1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 We are offering you UCount Rewards points when you apply for and take up an AccessLoan with Standard Bank. The exact number of points you can get will be advised by sms or email.
1.2 This Offer starts on the date of the sms or email referred to above and will remain valid for a period of one month thereafter. (“Promotion Period“).

2 WHO QUALIFIES FOR THIS OFFER

To qualify for this Offer, you must:
2.1 be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older;
2.2 permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa;
2.3 be a new or existing member of our UCount Rewards programme (“UCount”); and
2.4 not have breached any of the terms and conditions applicable to any account you hold with us (including, but not limited to, being in arrears) or not considered to be, for any other reason, in Good Standing (as defined in the UCount terms and conditions).

3 HOW TO ACCEPT THE OFFER

3.1 Apply for and take up an AccessLoan
3.2 You will receive the Offer credited to your UCount account by no later than two months after taking up the AccessLoan
3.3 You must have applied for and taken up your AccessLoan during the Promotion Period in order to qualify for this Offer.
3.4 If you are not yet a member of UCount, you will need to join UCount before the end of the Promotion Period in order to receive the Offer.
3.5 AccessLoans and UCount are subject to separate terms and conditions which you must comply with in addition to these terms and conditions.

4 GENERAL TERMS

4.1 We are the promoter of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.
4.2 By participating in this Offer, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4.3 These terms and conditions shall apply to this Offer and all other information relating to this Offer and on any promotional or advertising material that is published.
4.4 We assume no liability for any services and/or advice, whether correct or incorrect, which you receive and/or pursue over and above this Offer.
4.5 We assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from a Customer’s participation in this Offer or howsoever arising (whether arising from negligence or otherwise). All customers, whilst participating in this Offer, indemnify us and hold us harmless for any loss, damage, harm or injury (whether arising from negligence or otherwise) which may be sustained as a result of any claim, costs, expense, loss or damages which may be made by any third party.
4.6 We reserve the right to amend, reduce or extend at any time the start or end dates of this Offer.
4.7 We reserve the right to terminate this Offer with immediate effect and without notice of such termination to you. In such event, you waive any rights, which you may have against us and you acknowledge that you will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against us.
4.8 In the event of a dispute, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of this Offer and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.9 This Offer cannot be used together with any other similar offer or campaign promoted by us.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 We are giving away 50 (fifty) free video cameras (“Free Video Cameras”), when you purchase one of 50 (fifty) television (“TV”) sets, by simply paying for your TV using your Standard Bank card, on the UCount Rewards Online Mall (“ Offer “).
1.2 This Offer starts at 00h00 on 07 December 2016 and ends while stocks last of the 50 (fifty) Free Video Cameras (“ Promotion Period“).

2. WHO QUALIFIES FOR THIS OFFER

To qualify for this Offer, you must:
2.1 Be an existing valid Standard Bank card (“Card”) holder of credit or cheque account, excluding Bluebean, Diners Club charge and/or credit cards ; and
2.2 Go to the UCount Rewards Online Mall, to purchase the TV, using your Card; and
2.3 not have breached any of the terms and conditions applicable to your Card (including but not limited to being in arrears and/or over your credit limit) or the UCount Rewards Online Mall terms and conditions, during the Promotion Period.

3. HOW TO ACCEPT THE OFFER

3.1 You must go to UCount Rewards Online Mall –
3.2 By using your Standard Bank Card you must:-
3.2.1 Be one of the first 20 (twenty) purchasers to buy a JVC 32″ LED TV (FHD) and get, one of 20 (twenty) free Cannon Legria FS406 Digital Video Camera; and/or
3.2.2 Be one of the first 30 (thirty) purchasers to buy a Samsung 40″ Flat SMART LED TV (FHD) and get one of 30 (thirty) free Cannon Legria FS406 Digital Video Camera.

4. GENERAL

4.1 We are the promoter of this Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.
4.2 You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:
4.2.1 be bound by these terms and conditions;
4.2.2 The Standard Bank Credit Card terms and Conditions; and
4.3 You are not limited to purchasing one TV during the Promotion Period.
4.4 These terms and conditions shall apply to this Offer and all other information relating to this Offer and on any promotional or advertising material that is published
4.5 Your Free Video Camera will be sent to you, with your purchased TV, by courier, to your nominated address for delivery.
4.6 The free video camera’s are limited to 50 (fifty) as set out in paragraph 3 above and the Offer shall only be valid for the Promotional Period.
4.7 We assume no liability for any services and/or advice, whether correct or incorrect, which you receive and/or pursue over and above this Offer.

STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED (“STANDARD BANK/WE/US/OUR”) TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF THE UCOUNT REWARDS FILL/WIN UP ATL PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION (“COMPETITION”)

1 DURATION

The Competition starts at 00:00 on Saturday, 01 July 2017 and ends at 23:59 on Saturday, 30 September 2017 (“Competition Period“).

2 ENTRANT REQUIREMENTS

2.1 To qualify as an entrant into this Competition you must meet all of the following requirements:
2.1.1 permanently reside in the Republic of South Africa;
2.1.2 be 18 (eighteen) years of age or older; and
2.1.3 you are a cardholder of a Standard Bank Cheque, Debit and/or Credit Card (“Card”) and your account is in good standing; and
2.1.4 you are a member of the Standard Bank UCount Retail Rewards programme (“UCount Rewards”) and your UCount Rewards account is in good standing,

3 HOW TO ENTER

3.1 Spend R200 or more at Caltex using your Card, during the following period (“Monthly Periods“).
3.1.1 01 July 2017 to 31 July 2017 (“July Period“).
3.1.2 01 August 2017 to 31 August 2017 (“August Period“); and
3.1.3 01 September 2017 to 30 September 2017 (“September Period“); and
3.2 There are no forms to fill in and once you meet the requirements set out in clause 2 above and this clause 3 you will automatically receive an entry into the Monthly Draw relevant to the monthly period in which you transacted as set out in clause 5.6.1 to 5.6.3.
3.3 Subject to you complying with the provisions of clause 3.1 and 3.2 above you will automatically receive an additional entry into the Grand Prize Draw as set out in clause 5.6.4.

4 PRIZES

4.1 Entrants could win the following prizes (“Prize/s“).
4.1.1 During the July Period, 1 entrant stands the chance to win 250 000 UCount Rewards Points (“July Period“);
4.1.2 During the August Period, 1 entrant stands the chance to win 250 000 UCount Rewards Points (“August Period“);
4.1.3 During the September Period, 1 entrant stands the chance to win 250 000 UCount Rewards Points (“September Period“); and
4.1.4 After the Monthly Draws, there will be an additional draw where 10 entrants stand the chance to win 1 000 000 UCount Rewards Points (“Grand Prize“).

5 GENERAL

5.1 We are the promoter of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.
5.2 These terms and conditions are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and will apply to this Competition and all other information relating to this Competition (including any promotional or advertising material that is published). are a member of the UCount Rewards business rewards programme.
5.3 By entering this Competition all entrants agree to be bound by:
5.3.1 these terms and conditions;
5.3.3 Caltex terms and conditions (if applicable); and
5.3.4 the UCount Rewards terms and conditions.
5.4 We will need to process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a Prize winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering this Competition, you consent to us processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent to us processing your personal information, please do not enter this competition
5.5 No entry will be considered to be valid until a validation process has taken place.
5.6 The Prize winners will be chosen by means of 4 lucky draw conducted by our internal auditors at our premises, 30 Baker Street, Rosebank, 2196. On the following dates:
5.6.1 The draw for the July Prize on 10 August 2017 where the first valid entry drawn will win (“July Period“);
5.6.2 The draw for the August Prize on 11 September 2017 where the first valid entry drawn will win (“August Period“);
5.6.3 The draw for the September Prize on 10 October 2017 where the first valid entry drawn will win (“September Period“); and
5.6.4 The draw for the Grand Prize on 10 October 2017 where the first 10 valid entries drawn will win (“Grand Prize“).
5.7 The July Draw, the August Draw, and the September Draw are collectively referred to as the Monthly Draws. Should a Prize winner win any respective Monthly Draw, he/she/it may not qualify to win the Prize in any successive month with the exclusion of the Grand Prize Draw, where entry is automatic as provided for in clause 3.3.
5.8 The Prize winners will be notified by a representative of ours by telephone on the following dates:
5.8.1 14 August 2017 for the July Draw;
5.8.2 13 September 2017 for the August Draw;
5.8.3 12 October 2017 for the September Draw and the Grand Prize Draw;
5.9 The Prize/s will be allocated into the winners UCount Rewards account by no later than 31 October 2017.
5.10 Where relevant, if a person does not accept the Prize within a period of 5 days, if an entry is not valid for whatever reason, if an entrant has breached these terms and conditions, if a person renounces the Prize or we deem such person to have renounced the Prize, we reserve the right to declare the Prize forfeited and/or choose a new Prize winner.
5.11 In the event of a dispute, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.12 We will be entitled to publish each Prize winner’s name and photograph in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material (the nature and manner of such releases to be determined within our sole discretion), for a period of twelve months from the date of announcing such Prize winner. Each Prize winner will be given the opportunity to decline the publication of their images and to participate in our marketing material insofar as it relates to the Competition.
5.13 The Prize may not be exchanged for any other item. We do however reserve the right to substitute the Prize with any other prize of a similar commercial value.
5.14 We assume no risk and/or liability whatsoever for the failure of any technical element in the Competition which may result in an entrant’s entry not being successfully submitted and/or a Prize winner not successfully receiving or taking up a Prize. Once a Prize winner accepts a Prize, such Prize winner accepts such Prize at his/her own risk.
5.15 We assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, harm or damage arising from an entrant’s participation and/or any Prize awarded in the Competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising. All persons, whilst participating in this Competition, indemnify and hold us harmless for any loss, damage, harm or injury (whether arising from negligence or otherwise) which may be sustained as a result of any claim, costs, expense, loss or damages which may be made by any third party.
5.16 If required by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the National Consumer Commission or for whatever other reason, we will have the right to terminate this Competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against us and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against us.

2.1.4 you have received a communication to enter this Competition; and
2.1.5 be a member of Standard Bank’s UCount Rewards programme (“UCount Rewards“) whose account is in Good Standing (as defined in the UCount Rewards terms and conditions).

3 HOW TO ENTER

3.1 swipe your Card to pay for a purchase (Transaction) during the Competition Period and you will receive one entry into the Competition.
3.2 Every Transaction qualifies for one entry into the Competition.
3.3 There are no forms to fill in and once you meet the requirements set out in clause 2 above and this clause 3, you will automatically be entered into the Competition.

4 PRIZES

4.1 5 entrants each stand the chance to win UCount Rewards points which is equal to the value of the Card spend i.e if there is a R10 000 Card spend that will equate to a collection of 10 000 UCount Rewards points (“Prize“).
4.2 The Prize is subject to a maximum collection cap of 50 000 UCount Rewards points.

5 GENERAL

5.1 We are the promoter of the Competition. Any reference to we/us/our includes our directors, members, partners, sponsors, agents or consultants, where the context allows for it.
5.2 You are not eligible to participate in this Competition if:
5.2.1 you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of ours; or
5.2.2 you are an immediate family member of any of the persons specified in clause 5.2.1; or
5.3 These terms and conditions are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and will apply to this Competition and all other information relating to this Competition (including any promotional or advertising material that is published).
5.4 By entering this Competition all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5.5 We will need to process your personal information to validate your entry and if you are a Prize winner, to make the Prize available to you. By entering this Competition, you consent to us and/or our agent AAG processing your personal information for this purpose. If you do not consent to us and/or AAG processing your personal information, please do not enter this competition
5.6 No entry will be considered to be valid until a validation process has taken place.
5.7 The Prize winners will be chosen by means of a lucky draw conducted by our internal auditors on 21 September 2017 at our premises, 30 Baker Street, Rosebank, 2196. The first 5 valid entries drawn will win the Prize.
5.8 The Prize winners will be notified by us by telephone by no later than 28 September 2017.
5.9 The Prize will be credited to the Prize winners UCount Rewards by no later than 30 September 2017.
