How does the double earn rate work?
To qualify for up to R10* back in Rewards Points per litre of fuel and oil, you need to use your qualifying Standard Bank Credit, Cheque or Debit card to pay for:
- 100% fuel spend at participating Astron Energy and/or Caltex per Fixed Cycle (Zero fuel spend at competitors)
- Be an mRewards member and purchase a minimum of R500 or more at Makro as per Fixed Cycle
- Have a transactional current account and 2 other Standard Bank products in different categories. These categories are:
- Home Loan
- Personal Loan
- Insurance
- Wills
- Offshore Banking
- Online Share Trading
- Standard Bank Mobile
- Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF)
- Credit Card
- Savings & Investments
- Services

EARNING STANDARD FUEL REWARDS
If you don’t meet the requirements to earn double Fuel Rewards, you will earn up to R5* per litre back in Rewards Points for fuel and oil in Rewards Points based on your Tier Level.

- You must hold a Standard Bank transactional current account and 2 other Standard Bank products in different categories in the calendar month.
- 100% of your fuel spend in the Fixed Cycle must be at participating Caltex and/or Astron Energy service station using your qualifying Standard Bank Credit, Cheque or Debit card.
- Transactions performed at non-participating Caltex and Astron Energy service station will not qualify for the offer.
- You must be an active mRewards member with a minimum spend of R500 at Makro in the Fixed Cycle using your qualifying Standard Bank Credit, Cheque or Debit card. (An active mRewards member is a customer who registered for mRewards and is shopping at Makro).
- Should a customer purchase items and/or services from a competing service station including but not limited to gas purchases, convenience store purchases, car washes, etc, the member will need to produce a receipt so that the double fuel earn for that month can be considered.
- Fuel paid for with your personal garage card, corporate or fleet cards are excluded from earning Fuel Rewards Points.
- All purchases, including fuel purchases made in Caltex and Astron Energy convenience stores, are excluded from earning Fuel Rewards Points.
