- Rule 2: Tiering Points for subscription services:
From 1 December 2025, payments made using your Evolve Card for streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Showmax, Spotify, Apple and YouTube will no longer contribute to your Tiering Points.
- Rule 9: Optimising your qualifying purchases:
Effective from 1 December 2025, qualifying purchases on your Evolve Card will not be considered as Credit Card purchases.
TIPS:
- You can still get up to 75* Tiering Points by loading 3 or more streaming service payments on your qualifying* Standard Bank Credit Card.
- You can still get up to 125* Tiering Points by using your qualifying* Standard Bank Credit Card instead of your Debit, Cheque or Evolve Card for all qualifying purchases.
How these changes might affect you
If you’re currently using your Evolve Card for the transactions mentioned above, these updates may influence your Tier Level in January 2026. However, if you already use a qualifying Credit Card for these transactions, your Tier Level will not be impacted. We understand that changes can sometimes require adjustments. Rest assured, many of the great benefits you love about UCount Rewards remain unchanged:
Continue to earn from 3* times more Rewards Points when using your qualifying* Standard Bank Credit Card or Evolve Card, which is one of the fastest ways to boost your Rewards Points.
Still earn up to R10* back per litre in Rewards Points when using your qualifying* Standard Bank Credit Card or Evolve Card for fuel and/or oil at Astron Energy and participating Caltex service stations.
Important Notice: The UCount Rewards earn rates in the Card Rewards and Choose Your Own Rewards categories will be amended from 16th April 2025. You can view the updated Programme rules from the 16th of April 2025.
Important Notice: Activate your new UCount Rewards Card and reset your rewards card PIN through our website. Sign into your UCount Rewards profile, select the dashboard and “Manage my card”. You can also do this on the Standard Bank App by accessing the UCount Rewards platform.
